German Island

This was the epic view which welcomed us when we reached the island.

German Island, Port Barton 2014
Welcome to the third destination of our island hopping tour in Port Barton, the German Island.

It is a privately owned island, and it is called German Island because of the fact that the island was rented by a German National for more than 20 years.

It's just a small but a very beautiful place which is a perfect destination for beach lovers and beach bums :)

This is the view from the other side of the island.

The island has a very nice white sand beach and clear waters. You will really enjoy bumming around here all afternoon.

There are also several hammocks scattered around the area which you could use. It is a very good place to relax.

We had our lunch stopover in this island. There is only one cottage in here that's available for use. Good thing our group was the first to arrive, we had the privilege to use the cottage with a table and a bench.

The island has an entrance fee of P50 per boat.

There are also a lot of beautiful spots in the there, and they're Postcard perfect. Take a look at the following pictures.

Another interesting stuff about the island is that it is home to sea turtles or "pawikan". Thanks to Jamie for lending me this awesome photo.

April and I weren't able to see this sea turtle 'cause we're so busy being lazy hahaha. We just bummed around all afternoon. Sayang 'cause we weren't able to see the turtle. How i wish i went with Jamie and Dave. :( I'll just try to experience that when i go back to Barton.

You can also watch this video of a sea turtle in German Island courtesy of my friend (c)Dave Cabungan.

We spent about 3 hours in this beautiful island. The only thing that i didn't like with our experience in this island is that we experienced a "mini-sandstorm" haha. It was really windy during the time of our visit. And it's really a bit painful every time the wind blows loose sand to your face or to the other parts of your body (feels like hundreds of needles are pricking your skin). On the good side, I love the fact that the place is very clean and super relaxing. So far, this has been my top two favorite island in Port Barton, next to Palawan Camping :)

Make sure to visit this island when you happen to be in Port Barton.
