Gayuma ni Maria Resto'

Last August 13, Saturday, me and my friend Dana checked out a cute resto located in the so-called Maginhawa strip in QC.

I've read a lot of good write ups about this resto which made me more interested in trying it out.
The night before we went to Gayuma resto, i read online reviews about it, which is actually a good thing to do whenever you want to try/explore something new, so that you would know what to expect and you'd also have knowledge on what are the must-try's of an establishment that you might want to try for yourself when you get there, and you would not end up having experienced the least of what the business has to offer. From the reviews that i've read, i discovered that the resto actually has a second floor/another dining area which you will not be aware of if nobody will tell you that there is such and unless you will go to the comfort room (since their comfort room is located inside that hidden room in the second floor).

Gayuma ni Maria is one of the most frequented food establishments in the Maginhawa food strip. Famous for their signature and unique dishes, the gayuma ni Maria resto continuously attracts more and more customers in it.
I love how large their servings are. Their pasta is actually good for 2. Their appetizers also come in large servings.

For appetizer we had:

itsie-bitsie fettish P60
Itsie-Bitsie Fettish, taro fries served with two dips (one of the dips tastes like yogurt and the other one is like sweetened melted butter with cheese something like that---according to my tastebuds)

(see how big their servings are? in the photo: left side- Tuliro: nachos with chicken, lettuce and grapes, P165 good for 2-3 or maybe 4 persons, right side bottom- Afternoon delight: pasta with tomatoes and fresh basil roasted in garlic olive oil and drowned with cheese. If you want the hottie version you can ask the waitress that you want it done with red pepper flakes, P195; and last right side top- N.B.S.B No Boyfriend Since Birth: pasta in pesto sauce with cheese and mussles, P215)

For dessert we had Beat sex any day: a slice of moist chocolate cake with chocolate syrup, P70.
The food was good, though the pasta is a bit salty and overdosed with cheese.

Their menu is uniquely weird check it out for yourself. Upon ordering hirap na hirap kami ni dana sabihin orders namin sa waitress kasi nga ang weird ng pangalan ng mga dishes hahaha!! kainis! :P

And because of its romantic ambiance, this resto is where you will find most couples having their lunch/dinner date.
This is what the interior of the establishment looks like:

If you will notice in the picture, in that one corner of the resto is a display of x-rated stuffs which i find weird and inappropriate for a resto to have. The display contains sex toys, dick-shaped cookies and ginger, etc.
I love the layout of the store and the materials particularly the table cloth they used (aliw lang ako sa florals these days), the colors, the lighting and the cute canopy curtains per table. The ate there was kind enough to take a photo for us.
Here's a picture of me and dana in our table.

Just behind that glass window is the resto's smoking area.
If you will also notice that brown sliding door from the previous photo, is the entrance going to the second floor of the resto where a Japanese-style room awaits you (the one i was talking about earlier). Before i reach the second floor i was startled with a mannequin covered with a satin cloth placed there in front of a big mirror upon reaching the end of the staircase. I was startled and had goosebumps for a while, after which i just started laughing about it.

(i don't even know why they placed a mannequin there, its so weird aaaand freaky. scary dba??)
