NEVA'S PLACE

Located at Taft Street near the Children's Park and Cathedral Church, is a garden-restaurant which offers delicious pizza and pasta dishes.

Neva's Place is one of the famous restaurants in the city of Puerto Princesa. It is also one of the pioneers in the restaurant/food industry in the province.

Neva's is one of my favorite restaurants here in Puerto. To get here you just need to navigate your way to Taft St.

Over a year ago, a fire broke out and the old Neva's restaurant was brought down by the huge fire. Having mainly wood as the material used in the establishment, the fire easily consumed the native-style restaurant.

The old building of the restaurant was the family's ancestral home. There were a lot of good memories in there that went down with the fire. It was really a nice and cozy place which is perfect for dating and chilling out with friends. When I revisited the place, I was really saddened by the fact that the old building was no longer there for us to enjoy.

The ruins made the restaurant a little bit more interesting.

The ruins is a lot more beautiful during night time. It is a perfect dating spot for couples. They have this dinner by the candle light feel in it.


When the restaurant re-opened months after the fire, they were just selling pizzas and later on their whole menu was brought back.

This is Neva's Place now. It still has its beautiful garden filled with gorgeous plants which adds up a lot to a more refreshing dining experience in the restaurant.

There are also a lot of nice artworks scattered around the place.

Floating floral arrangements using different types of colorful petals also adds a lot of beauty in the place. Looks familiar? You might have seen this type of floral arrangement already. There are a lot of these at the Baker's Hill in Mitra Road Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa City.

Neva's Place is famous for their brick oven pizzas. Its great contender when it comes to brick-oven cooked pizzas is McCoys. McCoy's also serve delicious pizza and pasta dishes (i'll blog about it next time).

This is their Pizzang Sosyal, Neva's Place's version of a Hawaiian Pizza.

Not only do they have delicious thin crust pizzas, but they also have the most affordable pizzas in town. Imagine, for only P90 you can already enjoy EIGHT (8) slices of pizza (a whole serving)!

Some people however, don't like thin crust pizzas. Don't worry if you're one of them, 'cause Neva's Place also have thick crust pizzas (in different toppings/flavors).

They also serve delicious pasta dishes such as Chicken Al Pesto, P95 . This is one of my favorite dishes here.

Aside from Pizzas and Pastas they also serve rice dishes and other Filipino cuisine. One of their best-sellers and must-try dishes are their Chicken Cordon Bleu and a Cuyunon dish called "Laoya".
